Low pressure will dominate our weather throughout the working week, bringing disruption to some parts of the United Kingdom on Tuesday and Wednesday, especially in the west, south-west and north-western parts of the United Kingdom. Today’s weather forecast – 23rd November

SUMMARY Wet weather moving in from the south-west this morning with strengthening winds across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and also Irish sea coasts through the day. A cold start for many northern and eastern areas with a local ground frost overnight. An air frost for rural parts of the far north and north-east of England and up into Scotland with overnight lows dipping down to -5c in Aviemore. Mild and unsettled for now but signs of a cold December

We’ve certainly experienced some very mild weather so far this Autumn with temperatures well above the seasonal average at times. Most recently we’ve seen low pressure become more influential with strong winds, longer spells of rain and showers, a pattern we’ll generally see continue throughout much of November, whilst remaining on the milder side. This week we do see higher pressure moving in from the near continent bringing a temporary spell of settled weather, especially across southern and eastern parts of the United Kingdom, however it won’t last with lows waiting out in the Atlantic, ready to move into the United Kingdom on a strong Jet stream.
